Former football superstar Hines Ward has put his Atlanta Mansion back on sale. He has re-listed the mansion back on the market for $5 million. Interestingly, Ward designed and built the masterpiece of a house himself. War is a former Pittsburgh Steelers player.
The house is located in the Sand Springs of the Atlanta metro area. The eight bedroomed houses have been sitting therefore for a decade. Ward has always toyed with selling the home, by listed and delisting it on the market. He first listed the home in 2012 and put a price tag of $7.5 million on it. The later pulled it off, only to list it again in 2017. This is the third time he is putting up the house on sale.
Earlier this year, the house had been put in a contract. It almost got sold in March, on for it to re-appear on the market again. Under the contract the home was asking for $5.5 million. The house has now been listed by a new listing agent. Glennda Baker LeBlanc from Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Georgia is in charge.
In a statement leased by the listing agent, Ward reveals that he designed every aspect of the home himself. He did even the amenities and the landscaping. The house features impressive Art Décor in the living space, black and white tiles, a stone-countertop kitchen, double oven, two breakfast bars, and a double-sided floating fireplace. Other impressive features include a candle-lit grotto, a freeform pool and a basketball court. The freeform pools had decorative waterfalls. The house also features an outdoor kitchen and a cabana.
Ward is a Super Bowl MVP. He had a private club in the house he is looking to save. It is a sort of man cave with a trophy hall. Ward is seeking to market the home to the film industry. He is hoping to attract the attention of filmmakers in Atlanta, and possibly rent it out to transient actors for almost $50,000 every month. Ms Bake LeBlanc the agent says that Georgia was receiving more and more top earners of the box office and any other city in the US. She also added that filmmakers and studios could book the house for film shots at the rate of $15000 per day.
Ward was part of the squad that bagged two championships and set Steelers’ records of receptions and touchdowns back in 2002. The wide receiver has since retired and is currently estimated to have a net worth of $16 million. He is famed as being one of the longest-tenured footballers for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ward is half Korean and half American. He was born in South Korea to a Korean mother. His father is American and he was brought up in the Atlanta area.
